MOTIVATIONS OF SONG WRITERS AND MUSIC COMPOSERS
People are motivated differently by different things. What may appeal to me may not be appealing to several other people, and the response to what may motivate me may be different to the response the same thing will produce in another person. Musicians and song writers alike are motivated by different things to do what they do. The stimulus that may produce or be responsible for their action maybe different, but the common thing is that all of this ends up in the production of songs and music. It is also interesting to know that digital music has made this whole process to become very easy.
The things that motivate song writers and music composers vary from their personal experiences to public situations they find themselves in. It can even be as a result of a situation, circumstances, or challenges which the communities they live in are facing. It can even be as a result of monetary or financial motivation. There are a number of situations that come up every so often which have a high probability of good financial gains. A lot of song writers or music composers who are motivated by financial gains usually take advantage of this situation to create music content around such situations in order sell and make big money.
Another motivation for most of this musicians and song writers can be their emotional lives where they usually seek to express to the public what their experiences were. Most times, these experiences have to do with their affections for a particular person or heartaches they suffered from an unsuccessful relationship. Sometimes, the motivation is usually a cry against what they consider as a kind of social injustice in their communities. In all of these, digital music has made it so easy for these people to convey their messages relatively easily, from production to market distribution and sales.
