The impact of music on people can be so pronounced and varied that it is not uncommon to see or experience diverse kinds of responses from different categories of people. Sometimes, it is even amazing to know that, the same kind of music will impact the same group of people differently and also elicit different kinds of responses from them. Another aspect of the impact which music has on people can be so subtle that one may not really realize that their actions or inactions are as a result of what they have been listening to.
The effect of music can be gradual but after a while most of the responses that are consequences of this music become more or less automated. This is because the whole message the music conveys have been sent to someones subconscious that they do not know when they respond to it in a particular manner. Different kinds of music have different kinds of impacts and certainly yield different results from the listeners. Some of the responses may result to joy, relief, and hysteric dancing. And sometimes, the responses may result from the impact of music may be bad or disastrous.
There are instances where a kind of music may cause someone to indulge in a particular habit that maybe detrimental to themselves and even the environment which they find themselves in. instances where the impact of a kind of music has resulted in behavioral change as a result of the information passed across through such a medium also abound around us. Hence, in recent times digital music has proven to be an effective tool in mass mobilization, public enlightenment and education of various communities to achieve the results they desire. The most important thing here is that such music must be produced in a way that will be appealing to the target audience.
